LITERTURE FOR ANTICOROSSIVE RUBBER BASED COATING Introduction & Properties *Rubber based coatings are single pack fast drying semi glossy finish coatings * Generally recommended shades are Black, Grey. *Good resistance to marine, salty, acidic fumes etc atmosphere *Single component so no mess of mixing 2 components & easy to use & apply *Very fast drying so less possibilities for surface getting dirty due to external dirt pick up *It can be applied by Brush/Roller or spray *can be applied under varying atmospheric conditions *Protects Steel, masonary, cementetious surfaces & asbestos surfaces *Can be used in Both Marine & industrial environments *Used in protection of Steel, MS, GI, CI, Sewage plants, marine jetty,Concrete structures exposed to corrosive fumes etc *Extremely easy to repaint * Rubber based paints shows better solvent penetration & greater bonding, they adhere well to themselves & to most other paint systems *Rubber based paints have very low permeability to water vapour & Oxygen leading to longer paint life * Rubber based paints have outstanding resistance to weathering, most chemicals & corrosive elements including acids, alkalies, oxidations agents, fresh & sea water * low labour cost as its very fast drying Application & usage Guidelines: *The surface to applied should be free of dust & grease & loose flaky paint or coating *Apply two coats of rubber based paint on the surface to be coated *The paint dries in about 20 to 30 minutes & is ready for a second coat *The paint can be diluted to the desired brushing viscosity if required It can be used on the following surfaces: Chemical plants, fertilizer plants ,Refineries , Road & Rail Tankers,Bridges, water & Sewage works,Marine installations,Ships,Pipelines for water & Gas, under water-underground & over land, Nuclear power Plant installations,Gas Installations,Electroplating plants,& tanks,New & old masonary works,Swimming pools,As floor paint/coating in laboratory,on concrete surfaces
