D'Rustol Coating PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Drustol is a user friendly cost effective product formulated for conversion of rust from an unstable oxide form in to a stable phosphate form PURPOSE: DRustol is formulated to convert the unstable iron oxide to a stable iron phosphate coating, before the application of any other film forming paint, coating etc USAGE: DRustol is a very versatile product , It can be applied by either a Brush or a Roller or for larger surfaces, it can be also used by dipping method ADVANTAGES: *Designed to be used as a instant Rust converter product *Highly Cost effective, if used by dipping method the solution can be reused also leading to a lowering in the cost per square feet of the final converted product * Affordable low cost formulation for rust conversion. * Post conversion , it improves the bonding of the subsequent coating done on the surface It improves the chemical & mechanical bonding property of the subsequent coating. *Being water-based it is eco-friendly in nature & is easy to handle *It can be coated with any regular painting brush and by any good painter, no special skill required to apply the coating Uses: *For rust conversion & pretreatment of MS/AL & GI Structures Application Guidelines: * The surface to be applied with DRustol should be free from any Pitting or flaking rust , if any should be removed with the help of either a wire brush or by mechanical means. *After the surface is freed form pitting, scales & flaky rust particles, The Solution of DRustol can be either applied by Brush, Roller Or it can also be used by dipping the entire article in to the tank saturated with the Rustol solution. *After application, the chemical reaction takes place & the Iron oxide gets converted to a stable phosphate compound within 45 to 60 minutes depending upon the intensity, type of the Rust & the density of the article, *The conversion of the Red colour of Rust to either a brownish Black or Greyish black is the indication that the conversion process is complete & the surface is ready for accepting the passivative coat of epoxy or any other film forming coating to prevent the further oxidation of the treated surface. * its of utmost importance that once the rust conversion is completed, the next process of applying of a film forming coating is important. ideally within 36 hours Product Properties State Clear to Pale yellow liquid Min Application temperature Minimum 10 Deg cent Coverage (By Brush or roller) 80 to 120Sft/kg/coat **
